Therapist, Inpatient / Outpatient (FT)

Center for Change is seeking a full-time Therapist to provide therapeutic treatment for inpatient and outpatient clients at Center for Change. The Therapist's responsibilities will include eating disorder and psychological assessment, individual, group, marital, and family therapy working primarily with eating disorders but will include depression, anxiety, and a wide range of other psychological and emotional problems.

Direct Care Manager

Avalon Hills Residential Eating Disorder Program is seeking a Direct Care Manager (DCM) to oversee and manage direct care staff. Consisting of 12 beds, the facility is located 1 ½ hours north of Salt Lake City near Logan, Utah. The area offers breathtaking surrounding mountains and a variety of recreational activities.

Principal duties will include: training and management of 15-20 person staff that provides 24-hour supervision of female clients, assist in implementing the treatment plan, scheduling and shift oversight, leading in-service meetings for staff, participation in an interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and other responsibilities that might ensure that needs of the clients are met. DCM will report to the Director of Patient Services.

Education and Work Experience: Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in FACD, MFT, Psychology, Social Work, or closely related field. A minimum of (3) years experience with personnel management in a supervisory position is preferred. Combination of education and experience in a related field may compensate for the absence of a degree. Preference will be given for candidates with work experience in a residential treatment setting and/or eating disorders.

Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate to experience ($31K-$49K). Health, dental, and life insurance after 90 days; 401(K) after 6 months.

Open Sky Wilderness

Fulltime position for a Masters/PhD level therapist to join an innovative, holistic wilderness therapy program for adolescents, young adults and their families, based in Durango, CO and Southeastern Utah. Responsibilities include carrying a case load of adolescents; providing individual and group therapy; working with families; delivering trainings to field guides; spending two days in the field (one over night) and three days in the office doing parent phone calls, paperwork, etc. Open Sky is a new program, so there is opportunity for contributing to the program design. Other duties may include delivering psychoeducational groups; special projects; in depth family work. Open Sky’s holistic wilderness treatment program integrates the best of traditional clinical modalities, naturopathy, and wilderness therapy. Students, for instance, eat only organic food, meditate daily, participate in daily process groups and do some form of body practice such as yoga.

Qualifications:

Masters/PhD therapist licensed or able to be licensed (MFT, SW, Psychology, Professional Counseling) in Utah and Colorado. Experience with: clinical work with adolescents, young adults, and families: individual, family and group therapy; wilderness experience; personal mindfulness practice; presentation skills. Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy is a co-ed transitional boarding school for adolescents ages 14-18. We take students who are transitioning from residential treatment or wilderness programs who need to focus on academics or spend time practicing the skills they have learned in their previous treatment in a less structured environment.

The Dean of Student Life is an administrative position at the school. This position requires a person who has a clinical background (MFT, etc.) and good people skills. Must be capable of processing with students from a solution-focused, strength-based approach working on prosocial skill-building. This individual will meet regularly with students at the school and give updates to parents and educational consultants as well conduct other administrative duties (training staff, program design, etc). She/he will also be responsible to run character development groups, assist with rope course or equine activities, and assist in designing and chaperoning annual week long knowledge treks (including white water rafting, Yellowstone trek, Washington DC trek, and international trek).
